Attaching one receipt to several items

A receipt from one shop usually covers several items. YPReno stores the file once and lets any number of items point at it, rather than making you upload the same photograph six times.

Attaching it as you go

Open an item, find the Receipt panel, and upload the file. The chooser opens on Upload new because that is the common case.

For the second item off the same receipt, open that item's Receipt panel and switch to Use existing. Every receipt already in the project is listed, with a thumbnail, and each one tells you which items are already using it — so you can recognise the right one by looking at it rather than by remembering a file name your phone chose.

Attaching it to several at once

If the items already exist, do it in one go instead:

  1. On the Items page, press Select items.
  2. Tick the ones the receipt covers.
  3. Press Update on the bar at the bottom.
  4. In the dialog, pick or upload the receipt.

The same dialog can set a store, a category or a delivery date on all of them at the same time. Each field has its own checkbox, and a field you do not tick is not written at all — so it cannot overwrite what is already there. You get a summary of exactly what is about to change before anything is saved.

Removing one

Deleting a receipt from an item removes it from that item. The file itself is only deleted when the last item using it lets go of it, so removing it from one of six never breaks the other five.
