Most renovation tools treat the budget as a report you generate at the end. YPReno is built the other way round: you add what you are buying, and the numbers are the app.
Before you have decided
Add the bed before you have chosen the bed.
An item does not need a price, a picture or a link to exist. Put in "bed" because you know you need one, and it sits on the list until you decide. Mark it confirmed when you have chosen, purchased when you have paid, and it moves through the project with you.
Working with other people
Your designer sees the plan. Not the prices.
Invite the people working on your renovation and give each of them a role. A designer and a contractor get the rooms, the items and the delivery schedule, and can mark things delivered as they arrive. Prices, payments and receipts are kept out of their view, and the documents section is not shared with them at all.
